Courses in collaboration with the European School of Genetic Medicine (ESGM)

The European Society of Human Genetics (ESHG) has developed a partnership with the European School of Genetic Medicine (ESGM), in order to promote advanced training in human-medical genetics and preventive medicine in Europe. The European School of Genetic Medicine organizes courses in the charming venues of Bertinoro (Italy). These courses began in 1988 with the first course in Medical Genetics of the European School of Genetic Medicine directed by Prof. Victor A. McKusick.

ONLY PEOPLE WHO RECEIVE THE NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE CAN PROCEED WITH THE REGISTRATION.

Abstract: This course aims to give students insight into the use of next generation sequencing technology for genetic studies in humans. Aimed at researchers and diagnostics personnel with a background in genetics, biology, biomedical & molecular sciences and/or computational biology.

Venue: The University Residential Centre of Bertinoro (www.ceub.it) is located on one of the hilltops of the Romagna area, between the cities of Forlì and Cesena.

Fee: The Registration fee (€ 560,00) includes tuition, course material, lunches, coffee breaks, dinners and transportation from Bologna airport to Bertinoro on May 12nd and back on May 16th

Accommodation: You’ll be lodge at the Course Venue or in case of overbooking in hotels nearby the Centre.
The rate for a double room occupancy (to be share with another participant) is € 35,00/per night

Fellowships:
The European Society of Human Genetics offers fellowships covering both registration fee and accommodation. Applicants for fellowships should submit their request together with CV and a reference letter to rpartisani@ceub.it.

Deadline for sending application: March, 25th 2015 at 18.00 (Bruxelles Time). You’ll receive a notification of acceptance (or non acceptance) by mail within April, 6th

Poster submission:
Deadline for sending Abstracts for posters: at April 19th, 2015 18.00 (Bruxelles Time). Please send your abstract to rpartisani@ceub.it

All participants are encouraged to present a poster. All the abstract will be accepted.

Useful information about your registration:
– in the “ID CODE” field if you have not it, please write 0000;
– in the “BILLING ADDRESS” field you have to choose your surname/name or your institution. Only one field is admitted;
-in the “NOTE” field, please specify your roommate. Otherwise the secretary office will arrange the combination;
– If you’d like a single room, please contact: rpartisani@ceub.it. If single rooms are available the extra cost to be payed on site will be: € 10,00 per night;
